White matter fiber tract pathways are shown with different colors and widths to emphasize the local degree of uncertainty along their trajectories. More specifically, yellowish colors and large tract widths represent a higher uncertainty than reddish colors and small tract widths. From this type of visualization one can appreciate, for instance, the lower reliability (see the trumpet-shaped ending of a fiber tract) when pathways are projecting into the cortical regions.
